I am a self-taught potter intrigued by the slow, intuitive, often unpredictable process of ceramics, and by the tactile, whole-body experience of throwing, manipulating, and shaping clay.

I try to bring my complete self, as open and curious as is possible for me in that moment, to the entire process, and try as best I can to allow that process to unfold without a narrowly defined agenda. Working with clay and abstract imagery allows me to explore nonverbal, nonlinear avenues of perception and visual expression.

For me, creating objects for everyday use is satisfying and profound, and serves beautifully as a vehicle for the expression of my artistic inquiry and process.
